I think it is an Opel GT, however with some kind of 80s body kit.

That’s what I was thinking. The door notch into the roof is correct, the vents above the back glass are correct, the quarter windows are correct, fuel fill, etc.

It looks like someone slapped some louvers on the back glass, some type of two post mount spoiler, and an ugly, rounded rear cap replacing the gorgeous angled tail on the GT.

Looks a bit like this- a Lenk kit, but the wing mounting is different, and the the rusty one looks to have some sort of Corvette rear styling.

it sure does look a LOT like an opel gt. looks like it got cut at the character line surroundin the rear valence, and the rear valence turned around and put back on........ looks downright interesting.......
